Skincare in quarantine

My last blog post was 15 December (hangs head in shame). I could use multiple excuses for this:

  1. Initially I thought I could blame this on a technical issue with WordPress. However this was purely a case of logging in correctly.
  2. Then there’s work- that’s always a good one.
  3. Or how about life in general right now? That ticks most of the boxes.

I’ll spare you.

2020 looks a lot different now than most of us thought it would. Yet the things I want to write about are still skincare, makeup and other beauty products.

Well, to channel my inner Marie Kondo, I want to focus on the small, simple things that give me joy.

My beauty cupboard (aka a storage box) would suggest that from the sheer quantity, I have been preparing for a lock-down for quite some time.

I haven’t.

And I can’t (nor do I want to) just ‘pop into’ Boots to have a look and buy something (usually unnecessary), so I’m actually using things up. Interestingly, I haven’t been making irrational online purchases, but it’s still early days…

Therefore, in order to break my four-month writing hiatus (and to write about something that doesn’t feature the C-word), sharing the products I’m currently using seems like the most ‘normal’ thing to do.

Morning (in order of use)

  1. Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
  2. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra 8 Mist
  3. Clinique All About Eyes
  4. Lumene Nordic-C Glow Boost Essence
  5. Super Healthy Skin Ultralight UVA/UVB SPF25 OR Ultrasun Tan Activator SPF30

Evening (in order of use)

  1. Lumene Pure Glow Cleansing Balm
  2. Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
  3. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra 8 Mist
  4. Inkey List Retinol
  5. Lumene Moisture Remedy Day & Night Cream

Products are mostly linked to LookFantastic because they have 10% off right now- no affiliate link/paid post or any of that ( I wish!)

I have a nice pile of empties slowly growing, so I’ll make that the next post. Bear with me, it won’t be another four months and if you have request/questions/suggestions for posts- I’m all ears, (or rather eyes) on the comments box.
